Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026

CabinFlow is made by DreamFreq LLC. This policy explains what the CabinFlow iPhone and Apple Watch app and this website do with information about you.

The short version

  • No account and no sign-in. We don't know who you are.
  • No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, and no analytics tools.
  • Your trips, service orders, pay and settings are stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch. We don't run a server that receives them.
  • To look up a flight, the app asks CabinFlow's flight-data server, which asks FlightAware. Only the flight, airport or tail number goes with it, never anything about you.
  • We never sell data, and we never ask for your airline scheduling login.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you enter or the app works out for you is stored in CabinFlow's private storage on your devices:

This information is shared only with CabinFlow's own widgets, Live Activities and Apple Watch app on your devices. If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, it is included in that backup under Apple's terms. We can't see it, and we can't recover it for you.

What leaves your iPhone, and why

Flight lookups (CabinFlow server and FlightAware). To show times, gates, status, airport boards and where the plane is, the app asks CabinFlow's flight-data server (api.cabinflow.io), which asks FlightAware's AeroAPI and shares one answer between everyone looking at the same flight. A request contains only what's needed to find the flight: an airline code and flight number, a date, an airport code or an aircraft tail number. It also carries a random install ID that the app makes once; the server only uses a scrambled form of it to stop any one phone from sending too many requests, and doesn't store it. Your name, your trip list and your location are never sent. The server keeps each flight's answer for a few minutes and deletes it after a day without visitors, and it counts requests per day to track costs, with no link to you. Like any website, the server and FlightAware see the internet address a request comes from. FlightAware's own privacy policy, on flightaware.com, covers what they do with the requests our server sends them.

Airline logos (Logo.dev). To show an airline's logo, the app asks Logo.dev for it using the airline's website address or stock ticker. Logos are saved on your iPhone and refreshed about once a month. See Logo.dev's privacy policy.

Weather (NOAA). To show the weather at the airports on your trip, the app asks the U.S. government's Aviation Weather Center (aviationweather.gov, part of NOAA) for the latest airport reports and forecasts. The request contains only airport codes. Your name, your trips and your location are never sent. Reports are saved on your iPhone for a short time so they show when you're offline. Like any website, aviationweather.gov sees the internet address the request comes from.

Maps (Apple). Maps in the app are drawn by Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy.

Known Crewmember access points. To show KCM access points for your report stations, the app reads the public airports page on knowncrewmember.org directly from your iPhone, at most once a day, and keeps a copy on your iPhone for when you're offline. The request sends nothing about you or your trips. Like any website, knowncrewmember.org sees the internet address the request comes from. Notes you add to a station stay on your iPhone.

Your location. CabinFlow asks for your location only while the app is in use, and only uses it while the full flight map is open, to show where you are on that map. It isn't stored, and it isn't sent to us or to FlightAware.

Feedback and problem reports. When you choose Send feedback or Report a problem, your Mail app sends the message to us. Before you send, the app lists exactly what is included: your message, the app version, your iPhone model and iOS version, a screenshot if you attach one, and the flight on screen if you leave that switched on. Because it is an email, we also receive your email address. We use reports only to answer you and fix the app, and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Ratings and purchases (Apple). App Store ratings, reviews and any purchases are handled by Apple. Apple gives us sales and usage reports that don't identify you. If you have turned on sharing with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may also send us crash reports, which don't identify you either.
